Marron.

{Top: Freeloader via Luna | Tank: American Apparel | Jeans: Seven For All Mankind | Sandals: Rainbow}

Love this outfit! Comfy, casual, and flattering! Now, onto the 90+ degree weather... Ay caramba!

Oh, please let me add: Today I went to Goodwill to see if I could find some cool dresses or t-shirts. I found what I thought to be a lovely bubblegum pink Hawaiian-print dress. When I tried it on, I found it to be something very different: a culotte romper. Oh, the agony...

Ugga wugga wig wam.

{Top: Public Library via Luna | Jeans: William Rast | Boots: Journeys}
I'm a sucker for anything Native American! I highly dig a Navajo print or fun embroidery, which I've combined in this outfit. Last night on What Not To Wear, Stacy & Clinton went through a girl's wardrobe and tossed out anything Navajo/Aztec/Ikat, anything with an animal on it, and anything oversized knit. I mourned for that wardrobe and it wasn't even mine. So sad. I kind of seriously need to know where they donated those clothes, because I'd love to buy them all. Sigh.

Day to Gaga

{Shirt: F21 | Vest: J. Crew | Pants: Urban Outfitters | Boots: Steve Madden | Bracelet, Necklace, Rings: Vintage}

{Jacket: Foreign Exchange | Boots: Vintage | Necklace: Nordstrom}

Surprise! A day-to-night look! I wore the first, more casual ensemble to work yesterday. I was really comfortable all day and I was so happy with the way this outfit turned out! After a swift 45-minute nap, I pumped up the volume with a fun jacket and boots, and tried out a new spiral curling iron. It gave my hair what I'm now going to refer to as "kooky curls." What do we think about this effect? My own personal jury is still out. I also threw on some red lipstick - bonjour!

Where did I go, you may ask? Well, I suppose I gave it away already in my post title - the Lady Gaga concert! It was super fantastic, super fun, and super bizarre! Haha it was an amazing place to people-watch, and she was amazing.

On another note, I have laryngitis. Whoever said that a raspy voice was sexy never heard me sound like a dude.

Lingerie Toes!

{Shirt: Chaser LA | Pants: American Eagle | Shoes: Soda | Necklace: Luna | Peds: Voet Hosiery}

One might ask, "What should I wear to take 4 kids to a birthday party and slide down a 50-foot inflatable slide with them?" I would answer, "This." I'm a huge fan of Chaser LA, their vintage-inspired tees are super soft, lightweight, and comfortable! I'm also a huge fan of these pants. I've had them since I was about 15, and I fondly refer to them as my "salmon pants." They are the perfect pants to wear when you think assume that no one is going to be looking at your legs.

Now, onto more important things...

I was so thrilled when Chelsea, social media rep for Voet Hosiery (and fellow high school and college alumna), contacted me about these adorable Lingerie Toes! She sent me a few pairs, and I must say - they are too cute! I thought yesterday (hence the inflatable slide) was a perfect day to wear these, since I'd be shoeless, plus they gave an adorable touch to my flats! I can't wait to style these up in the near future, especially with heels! I love them already! Please check out these precious (and affordable!) Lingerie Toes! You can always get to their site through my blog by clicking the button that now lives on my sidebar!

Can I see some form of identification?

{Bow: JuJuBoutique | Turtleneck: Target | Jeans: Hudson | Boots: Minnetonka | Necklace: Nordstrom}

Another stunning face for your viewing pleasure. I really liked this outfit. Still, with the bow and turtleneck, I couldn't help feeling like a 3-year-old beat poet. I also took all of these pictures by myself using the self-timer. Good thing I don't live by myself and have to do this on a normal basis. I may actually have to invest in a tripod in that case.

Sometimes, I wonder why I get carded for things like R-rated movies. Then, while organizing my hair accessories, I find that I have this many bows, and my questions are answered...

Wanted: A new face!

{Cardigan & Jeans: Urban Outfitters | Shirt: Old Navy | Boots: Ugg}
It's days like these when I am pretty sure I need a new face. It's also days like these when I wish I had a Monkeyface to substitute for my own. Well, I think I personally would need a kitten face, but I suppose that's anyone's prerogative.

Staple

{Shirt: Victoria's Secret | Jeans: William Rast | Boots: Steve Madden | Scarf: Nordstrom | Jacket: Mom's}

This outfit is one of my tried & true staples. Always comfy, always classic, always works for me! You can't tell from this picture, but the top has little rhinestones scattered all across the top. Fab. I remembered that this scarf existed and decided to wear it. It's kind of cool cause it's all crinkly and elastic and fluffs very nicely. Good fluffage is tres important in a scarf, of course. I also topped off the outfit with my mom's jacket. And 9 hours later, there was a torrential downpour of a rainstorm - right on my head. Perfect.

Speaking of my mom...She was excited for her feet to be featured on my blog.

Chambrizzle

{Shirt: F21 | Pants: UO | Boots: Steve Madden | Bracelets: Vintage, Tilly's, Betsey Johnson}

Here's my take on the chambray trend. The shirt's a bit too washed-out and a bit too rocker girl for me, but this is what I have. Note to self: Get a proper-fitting, non-studded, darker-washed chambray shirt stat! I kind of felt like a gas station attendant in this ensemble here. Not exactly the look I tend to go for, but everyone should to be up for some variety every now and again, I suppose.

Cozyriffic

{Sweater: bp | Jeans: deLiA*s | Shoes: Rite-Aid | Scarf: GAP}

I'm enjoying reading about everyone's lovely weather across the states as winter leaves their homes. Funny, because Southern California is finally getting around to winter. It is wildly pouring, has been all day, and will all night. Yes, I know one day of rain doesn't constitute a harsh winter, but give me a break - I'm from sunny California!

This outfit holds two very old pieces in my wardrobe. The first is this old GAP scarf. I was strongly infatuated with it many years ago because it was so cute - and because a pre-Tom Cruise Katie Holmes was the one advertising it, and I can't begin to express my Dawson's Creek obsessive fandom.

The other item is these shoes! They really are just a pair of slip-on $5 shoesies from Rite-Aid. Everyone had them back in high school, because they were cheap and made us all look really emo. My friend and local incredibly talented artist Marcy Day Smith painted them for me. My nickname used to be "Dani Disco Duck" - hence where the little pink duckies come into play. They still hold a very special place in my heart.

On another note: These jeans cost $13.

While you're here, please check out Alana's blog - her posts and outfits are always fantastic, and she's featured me in her Winter Romper Round-up! Check it out and leave her some love!

Green Shmeen!

{Shirt: J. Crew | Pants & Necklace: UO | Shoes: Toms}

There are 2 things that I have a strong distaste for:
1. Holidays that dictate my wardrobe choices.
2. Pinching.

Summary: St. Patrick's Day is rude. Hence, my green nails and green clippie. Truth be told, the green nails were not for St. Patrick's Day. They were an experiment in man repelling (see: The Man Repeller) that just happened to coincide with this holiday.

I love love love this "Popsicle Pink" shirt. Inspired by the one and only Kendi Everyday, I had to get this - I kind of want it in the "Creamsicle" color, too, but I suppose one ice cream-inspired button-down is enough for now.

Also, I am a big fan of anything California-related, especially state-shaped items. I have my eye on 2 other state-shaped necklaces. Does one need 3 California-shaped necklaces? No. But I sure do want them.

P.S. I love Toms and I love leopard print. Enough said.
