Brrr. It's (not really) cold in here...

{Shirt & Scarf: NastyGal | Fleece-lined leggings: Anthropologie | Socks: Target | Boots: Steve Madden | Watch: Nordstrom}

So, it was kind of cold here for a bit. Kind of cold = high of 70, low of 45. So when I took this photo, let's say it was around 50. I consider that cold, and I consider it appropriate to wear a super chunky scarf, boots, socks, AND fleece-lined leggings. I know, I know - what am I even doing owning fleece-lined leggings, right? C'est la vie. I like to pretend it's actually cold where I live. I mean... sometimes it even drops down to the 30s in the middle of the night while I'm asleep. ;)

Duster.

{Top & Watch: Nordstrom | Leggings: Target | Boots: Steve Madden | Duster: Free People via Nordstrom | Necklace & Ring: Luna}

My color palette totally matched the weather today. It was gray and ugly all day, but not even with cool weather to match. It was warm and muggy and all in all gross outside. Get it together, Mama Nature! It's almost Thanksgiving, after all!

By the way, I'm totally into this duster. I have been in love with all things Free People for as long as I can remember knowing the brand. I ooh and ahh over the catalog each time it comes, and pin the pages up on my inspiration board. I also love to pin photos from their blog on my Pinterest boards! I rarely can bring myself to splurge on these items I love so much, but this fun extra-long cardigan totally sparked my fancy this weekend and I just couldn't resist taking the plunge. Sometimes, a girl just needs a little retail therapy! Can I get an Amen?!

Day to Gaga

{Shirt: F21 | Vest: J. Crew | Pants: Urban Outfitters | Boots: Steve Madden | Bracelet, Necklace, Rings: Vintage}

{Jacket: Foreign Exchange | Boots: Vintage | Necklace: Nordstrom}

Surprise! A day-to-night look! I wore the first, more casual ensemble to work yesterday. I was really comfortable all day and I was so happy with the way this outfit turned out! After a swift 45-minute nap, I pumped up the volume with a fun jacket and boots, and tried out a new spiral curling iron. It gave my hair what I'm now going to refer to as "kooky curls." What do we think about this effect? My own personal jury is still out. I also threw on some red lipstick - bonjour!

Where did I go, you may ask? Well, I suppose I gave it away already in my post title - the Lady Gaga concert! It was super fantastic, super fun, and super bizarre! Haha it was an amazing place to people-watch, and she was amazing.

On another note, I have laryngitis. Whoever said that a raspy voice was sexy never heard me sound like a dude.

Everybody, Everywhere...

{Sweater: H&M | Pants: bdg via Urban Outfitters | Boots: Steve Madden | Jewelry: Nordstrom bp, Old Navy, & Luna B}

Today I got to participate in a fun project! Please click the button at the bottom of this post to visit Everybody, Everywhere - a great idea in which bloggers everywhere wear the same trend on the same day! January 25 was Breton stripes day! I love this oversize sweater - it fits in perfectly with and puts a twist on my ever-growing collection of stripes! I've had these boots for over a year now, and I have to say they're always the perfect pair to toughen up any outfit in style. I also have an obsession with this new necklace from bp - $8.90 for these fun gems? Now, that's a bargain if I've ever found one - and believe me, I've found many!

Oh, and I guess we bloggers aren't the only ones channeling a day full of stripes...

My mom and some kids at our school seemed to get the memo, too!
