Easy Breezy

{cardigan: target (similar) | tee: nordstrom (similar) | skirt: target (similar) | sandals: urban outfitters}
Whew! I've had a very busy past week and a half! In the past 10 days, I've been to 6 concerts, worked a few days, been to one of my best friend's bridal showers, and had a few charming little outings! I wore this outfit to a breakfast date and walk along San Pedro last week. It was a warm day, but the ocean breeze was a pleasant accompaniment to the heat and sunshine!

Friday's Fancies: Style Crush - January Jones

{image / booties / jeans / blouse / rings / bracelet / sunglasses / purse (similar)}
I did a Friday's Fancies Style Crush back in January, and I was super stoked to try it again! I found this photo of January Jones, and I immediately loved her outfit! It struck me as kind of modern equestrian. I traded in the over-the-knee boots for a wedge bootie (better for my short frame), but kept mostly everything else tailored and classic, and complimented by some simple gold jewelry!

I know this image is a tad small - if you ever want to get a closer look at any of my outfit sets, you can always check out my Polyvore profile! :)

Warby Parker x Donors Choose

When Warby Parker contacted me about their collaboration with DonorsChoose.org, I was immediately excited! Warby Parker already has an awesome mission behind them - for every pair of glasses sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need. Now, with their latest design, for every $95 pair sold, a pair is not only distributed to someone in need, but each buyer is also able to donate $30 to the Donors Choose project of their choice! DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that makes it easy for anyone to help classroom students in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America post classroom project requests, and donors can give any amount to the project that most inspires them. When a project reaches its funding goal, Donors Choose will ship the materials to the school. Donors will get photos of the project taking place, a letter from the teacher, and insight into how every dollar was spent.

As a future public school teacher, the mission of Donors Choose definitely resonates with me! Warby Parker x Donors Choose launches today, so head over and take your chance to snatch up the newly designed Gardner frames. Look stylish, and help those in need while you're at it!

Make sure you browse the rest of their fabulous sunglasses while you're there... here are my favorite picks!

Floral Chambray

{shirt: old navy | skirt: loft | heels: kohl's (similar) | watch: urban outfitters (similar) | bracelet: c/o cathryn ann designs via sincerely truly scrumptious giveaway | clutch: popbasic}
I wore this out for a charming little dinner at a charming little cafe in Fullerton.I saw a version of this outfit styled with shorts in InStyle, but when I couldn't find the right pair of shorts, I bought this skirt and made it work! Like I said yesterday, I can't get enough of this leather clutch! It's big enough to hold mostly anything (my giant Erin Condren planner even fits in there!), and the camel color is so versatile. THE BEST!

Also, I wore this on my half birthday. Yep, I made a point to "celebrate" my half birthday. Because I have the mentality of a preschooler.

Popbasic Salut!

{tee, necklace, clutch: popbasic | skirt: old navy (similar) | boots: sam edelman | watch: marc by marc jacobs (gold version) | ring: vintage (similar)}
A couple weeks ago, I shared my gorgeous Popbasic emerald green maxi skirt with you all! So, naturally, I had to show you how fabulous the most recent Popbasic collection is! Pieces don't come much more classic than these! A striped tee, a basic gold link necklace, and the most perfect, roomy leather clutch. I have already worn this tee twice since I got it, and I use this clutch on an almost daily basis now that I'm on summer break and haven't had to tote around books and notebooks and my lunch and laptop and other school/work-related accoutrements!

I can't wait to see what Popbasic's next collection has in store!

Wine & Canvas

{cardigan: old navy (similar) | tee: everlane | skirt: american apparel | heels: kohl's (similar) | necklace: ily couture}

I wore this to paint my heart out at Wine & Canvas. My mom had attended one of their events awhile ago, and bought a Groupon for another, which she graciously gifted me, and I took my friend Ashley! Summary: We ventured to a cute little restaurant space in Santa Monica, had some wine, and took a little "class" where they taught us how to paint the designated art piece of the night - Eiffel Tower Lighted by Leonid Afremov!

It was so fun! I highly recommend seeing if there is a Wine & Canvas location in your area (they're all across the country!) - what a fun night out for a couple of girlfriends, a little party, or a date night!

For the past few months, I've been searching for the perfect pair of gladiator-esque brown sandals, and I finally found them! I ordered this pair, and not only are they adorable and comfortable, I know they're going to be super versatile! (Plus, they are incredibly affordable - $24!) Though I know they'd compliment a multitude of outfits, pairing them here with a cute floral chambray, a simple skirt, and classic accessories creates the perfect outfit to take you through a weekend afternoon!

Flex Watches Giveaway!

Did you all notice my awesome Flex Watch that I wore on the 4th and with my baseball tee? Well, now you can win one of your own!

Not only are Flex Watches bright, colorful, and interchangeable, but they have a pretty amazing message behind them.

Did you know that it is estimated that 95% of children in impoverished communities go to school without breakfast? Many of the families live in one room shacks with a dirt floor and a tarp roof. Without running water, electricity, or refrigeration, most of the cooking is done over an open flame. With limited access to food, most of these families choose dinner over breakfast.

  • If a child does not have enough to eat, then they will not be able to perform well in school.
  • If they don't perform well in school they will be less likely to graduate from high school and go on to college.
  • If that happens, they will be at a higher risk of being unemployed and not being able to provide for their family.

You can help! 1 Flex Watch sale feeds 5 hungry children. For every watch sold, Flex provides 5 meals to children in need. By sporting your Flex Watch, you raise awareness for the cause and can change the life of a child.

Flex Watches was kind enough to send me this awesome White Classic, and they are kind enough to offer one of my readers a Black Classic! Please enter using the Rafflecopter below, and please make sure you head over to Flex Watches to support the cause!

I couldn't resist providing a little Flex Watches style inspiration for you all! Make sure you head over to their shop and check out all of the fun, interchangeable bands and faces!

Play Ball!

{hat: nasty gal (similar) | tee: express | skirt: i can't remember! (similar) | sandals: gap (borrowed - similar) | layered necklace: forever 21 (similar) | bubble necklace: ily couture | watch: c/o flex watches}
A lot going on in this outfit, eh? I'm unsure about it. I wanted to balance the tomboy-ish nature of the Panama hat and baseball tee with a floral and (apparently) lots of pink - I guess I accomplished my goal, but I think going the extra mile with some wedges or keeping it more classic with a gold monogram might have been more my style. It feels summer-y, but I don't know if it quite screams "Dani!" Better luck next time!

I decided to compile some personal baseball tee inspiration for the future!

 Baseball tees + pants: I definitely want to try pairing my baseball tees with camo print and/or booties!

Baseball tees + skirts: Pairing my baseball tees with bright colors, leopard prints, and feminine lace is definitely on my to-do list!

How do you style your baseball tees?

P.S. Today is your last day to enter The Dress Spot giveaway!
P.P.S. Do you love this awesome Flex watch as much as I do?! Check in tomorrow to see how you can win one of your own!

U-S-A!

{tee: hello apparel (similar) | shorts: free people via shopbop (similar) | sandals: rainbow | necklace: popbasic (similar) | watch: c/o flex watches}
Since I've graduated college, I'm not much of a "theme" dresser, but holidays are special exceptions, especially the 4th of July! As you may have noticed, I am pretty crazy about anything and everything Americana-inspired, and this tee was no exception! I thought it was the perfectly adorable choice for Independence Day! Pairing this printed graphic tee with some casual (but cool) cut-offs and classic Rainbow sandals, but pumping up the volume with this super-rad Flex watch and Popbasic statement necklace, I was ready for a day of sun and fun in Santa Monica!

Did you rock stars and stripes on the 4th of July?

P.S. Don't forget to enter to my giveaway to win a dress (up to $100 value!) from The Dress Spot!
