Foxy!

{Sweater & Watch: Nordstrom | Shirt: J. Crew | Cords: Urban Outfitters | Boots: Steve Madden | Necklace: Forever 21}
Are you impressed by my very creative post title? Anyway...

I love this sweater! I love an animal print! My friend Jenna posted a photo of her Nordstrom haul on Instagram awhile ago, and I caught a sneak peek of this beautiful little fox! I texted her immediately, and she located the only ONE piece left in the company, and ordered it in for me! I'm so lucky to have a great pal who is great at her job at my favorite store!

Blue Blue Blue

{Shirt: Aeropostale | Belt & Skirt: Target | Necklace: ILY Couture | Flats: Tory Burch | Watch: Nordstrom}
This outfit made me happy. Royal blue is my 2nd favorite color. (Does my inner preschooler come out when I say that?) It's also probably my favorite color to wear. A royal blue buffalo check shirt? Yes. A royal blue skirt? Yes. A royal blue slide? Apparently, yes.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, a bubble necklace is the perfect addition to basically every outfit. Can I collect them in every color? Maybe. Am I going to try? Yes.

Get along, little doggies.

{Sweater: Romwe | Shirt: J. Crew | Jeans: JustFab | Boots: Steve Madden}
If I were a sweater, I would be this sweater. Mostly because I don't have any sweaters with giant kittens on them. (Suggestions welcome.)

I had never thought of layering this sweater over a shirt until I did this! I needed a way to tie the black boots into the black stitching, so I added my classic buffalo check shirt! I'll consider this my own version of equestrian chic.

Pre-Flu.

{Shirt: J. Crew | Sweater & Belt: Nordstrom | Jeans: Urban Outfitters | Flats: Tory Burch

I wore this last week, before I got hit smack-dab in the face by the flu. I've never gotten a flu shot, but I'm thinking that years and years of wiping snotty noses has caught up with me, and I may need to get one next season.

Though you may not be able to tell by the washed-out face in these photos (thank you very much, almost-broken camera), and though it's hard for me to believe, I once wasn't a bed-ridden sickling.

There's something about a button-down/pullover/skinny belt combination that is just classic and makes me feel good. I'm not sure it screams "Dani!" but I do think it's a flattering look!

Now, back to my liquid diet...

Check check.

{Shirt: J. Crew | Dress (worn as skirt): Forever 21 | Boots: Steve Madden | Necklace: Nordstrom}

This ensemble was definitely out of my comfort zone! I figured I needed to keep trying out the dress as skirt trend, but I wasn't quite sure how to do it. I've seen Rachel Sayumi tie up her button downs over skirts and dresses, and thought I'd give it a try. I'd say her expertise in the matter is highly evolved from my effort, but I guess it was worth a shot!

The Big 2-5

{Shirt: Luna | Skirt: Babooshka etsy shop | Black socks worn as tights: Steve Madden | Red socks: We Love Colors | Wedges: Modcloth | Bracelets: Betsey Johnson (gift), Tory Burch (gift), J. Crew | Watch: Nordstrom}

On Saturday night, some friends and I went to Sgt. Pepper's Dueling Pianos in Long Beach to celebrate my 25th birthday! After trying on approximately 500 different outfits on, I went for this mixed pattern look. I think if I start planning my outfit for the big 2-6 now, I MIGHT be able to figure something out sometime over the next 365 days. Suggestions welcome, in advance.

I'm also guest posting today over at The In-Between! Check it out!

By the way... Have you entered my Shabby Apple Cameo Necklace Giveaway yet?

1 2 Check Check

{Shirt: J. Crew | Shorts: Forever 21 | Flip-flops: Rainbow | Flower pin: bando | Watch: Sophie via Nordstrom}
Casual, my friends. I forget how much I love this shirt sometimes. Until I take my flower pin out and see two drastic holes in the fabric. I hope they shrink back up. Does this sound like a realistic possibility?

I have a short work week and am lucky enough to be headed off for a little visit to Minneapolis tomorrow for my long weekend! :) See you back on The Daily Dani in a few days!

Green Shmeen!

{Shirt: J. Crew | Pants & Necklace: UO | Shoes: Toms}

There are 2 things that I have a strong distaste for:
1. Holidays that dictate my wardrobe choices.
2. Pinching.

Summary: St. Patrick's Day is rude. Hence, my green nails and green clippie. Truth be told, the green nails were not for St. Patrick's Day. They were an experiment in man repelling (see: The Man Repeller) that just happened to coincide with this holiday.

I love love love this "Popsicle Pink" shirt. Inspired by the one and only Kendi Everyday, I had to get this - I kind of want it in the "Creamsicle" color, too, but I suppose one ice cream-inspired button-down is enough for now.

Also, I am a big fan of anything California-related, especially state-shaped items. I have my eye on 2 other state-shaped necklaces. Does one need 3 California-shaped necklaces? No. But I sure do want them.

P.S. I love Toms and I love leopard print. Enough said.

Switcheroo! (19/30)

{Shirt: J. Crew | Skirt: F21 | Tights & Bow : Target | Boots: Steve Madden | Necklace: Nordstrom | Coat: BB Dakota}

 Surprise! I chose to swap out one of my unworn 30x30 items for this skirt! Some print AND some color - not to mention an exposed zipper - just what I've been needing! Despite a few confused looks I received today over my mixed prints, I enjoyed this outfit today.

I also wanted to show you all the coat I throw on over my outfits everyday. It's nice and cozy and I love the print. I also thought I'd show you one of my kitties (Owen) - the one who doesn't sneak his way into every one of my pictures.

(9/30)

{Shirt: J. Crew | Shorts: F21 | Necklace: Vintage | Flats: Soda | Ring/Belt: ?}

I liked this outfit a lot this morning. The shirt's always great, the shorts are super comfy, and the shoes are easy. However, after a few minutes lifting and chasing after 3-year-olds, the belt came off, the shirt came untucked, and I could breathe a bit more easily. C'est la vie.

This necklace is another super-special one! This comes from my other grandma (Bubbie). This is actually a pin/brooch, and if you turn it clockwise to the right, you can see her lowercase initials (e.s.) patterned into the diamonds. I'm quite happy to wear an accessory with real meaning to its history.

My double-finger ring, shoes, and belt are items I've had for quite the while, and to be honest, I can't quite recall where any of them came from:

P.S. I couldn't come up with a clever title for this post for the life of me. Oopsie.
