Blogger Features
For about 6 months now, I've had the pleasure of presenting Blogger Features every Monday here on The Daily Dani. Not only has this allowed me to delve into the mind of some of the blogosphere's most fabulous fashionistas, but it's given me the wonderfully lucky chance to make great friends in the blogging community with so many lovely and fashionable women. It's nice to have found my niche, my own comfy little corner of the internet surrounded by people that have become wonderful friends.
I extend a big thank you for all of the fantastic ladies who have allowed me to feature them thus far!
If you or any of your friends have a blog, tumblr, or any other little corner of your own that you'd be interested in sharing here on The Daily Dani through a Q&A, guest post, or blog swap, please shoot me an e-mail and let me know! :)
Happy Halloweekend!
While I'm not a crazy die-hard fan of Halloween, if I can think of a costume that I really like, I'm happy! Over the years, I've gone through many-a-costume, especially in college with various parties and exchanges. Here's a look at some of those costumes!

Sometimes day looks like night.
{Shirt: Nasty Gal | Jeans: Urban Outfitters | Shoes: Toms | Earrings: JewelMint | Watch: Nordstrom} |
I present you with: another big shirt! I've had these pants for almost 2 years now; I was incredibly obsessed when I first spotted them back then, went through a mad frenzy trying to find my size at different stores, wore them nonstop, and haven't worn them as much lately. My job presented us with a "no holes in jeans" rule this year... However, I have apparently decided to buck the rules and go for it. The lace seems like it counteracts the holes anyway.
Sometimes I forget I own things, like these madras Toms. I'm glad that I remembered them today.
Oh, and have you all tried JewelMint yet? It took me almost a full year to commit to buying anything. These earrings are the only piece I ever really went crazy over, and they sold out before I could fully commit. Once they brought them back as a "favorite," I snatched them up pronto!
P.S. Temperatures around here plan to fluctuate between 65 and 85 over the next week. I can't hang. At least, my wardrobe can't. Choose a season and stick to it, mother nature!

Classic With a Twist.
Yesterday, my mom and I went to Hollywood to see Martha Marcy May Marlene. I think I can officially be obsessed with Lizzie Olsen now. Then we went to the Papaya King and I had a delicious hot dog. FYI: Hot dogs are my favorite food, and this one was quite delish!
I felt good in this outfit. It felt super classic with the flats, dark denim, and tucked-in black crewneck, but the Native American belt and glitzy jewelry gave it a little twist, a nice little punch.
P.S. Don't forget - I'm currently accepting sponsors for November! E-mail me if you're interested in a sponsorship, affiliate program, product review, or giveaway with The Daily Dani! :)
Blogger Feature: Hayley of The Weekend File
Hello Daily Dani Followers! I am Hayley, a fellow Southern Californian life and style blogger! You can usually find me blogging over at The Weekend File. It's a little style, and a little bit about my life with my boyfriend and our adorable puppy. We are currently renovating our first home, a 1956 charmer about 4 miles from the beach! Come on over and visit anytime, or check me out on Pinterest or Twitter!
3 words to describe your personal style?
1. Relaxed
1. Relaxed
2. Subtle
3. Current
Who are your celebrity style icons?
I really love Sienna Miller, she takes risks and always looks flawless. Kristen Bell and Hilary Duff are young and vibrant and have a similar style to me and I would love to raid their closets. And Gwyneth Paltrow as a polished and sophisticated look I hope to develop one day!
What is your go-to, never-fail outfit?
What is your go-to, never-fail outfit?
This is easy! Skinny Jeans, tall boots, some sort of oversized patterned top and a fitted sweater or blazer. Add some fun statement jewelry and an oversized bag and I am a happy camper!
How do you to take your fabulous style into the "real world," finding a balance between fashion and professionalism?
How do you to take your fabulous style into the "real world," finding a balance between fashion and professionalism?
Unfortunately, I have a job where a uniform is required so I started this blog called "The Weekend File" for this very reason. I have a style, I love getting dressed up, but my opportunity to do so is limited. I feel good and confident when I am wearing something I love and feeling like myself so I really embrace those times where I can get out of the black polo and into a cute outfit!
The one thing I'm buying for fall is:
The one thing I'm buying for fall is:
Fall is my favorite season to dress for. While I am a shop-a-holic and I am always shopping (for nothing really in particular either) I think some good key Fall pieces are: Tweed shorts, Riding Boots, A Great Coat, Relaxed button ups, Maroon, Navy & Hunter Green, Chunky Scarves and Grandpa Sweaters!
I splurge on ____ and save on ____
I rarely ever splurge, but I do have some designer heels, boots, jeans and dresses. I save on shirts, sweaters, jewelry and trends. If I get a few wears out of a trendy Forever 21 shirt that was $10 I am happy.

Who are your favorite bloggers, and why?
I am of course inspired by the incredibleness of Blair from Atlantic-Pacific and the everyday girl look of Kendi from Kendi Everyday. I also follow a countless amount of other small blogs that leave me feeling inspired and intrigued everyday!

Loving Lavender.
{Top: Nasty Gal | Jeans: JustFab | Boots: Steve Madden | Watch: Nordstrom | Skull bracelet: Luna | Hex nut bracelet: DIY Gift | Necklace: Vintage (Aunt's)} |
As I pulled on this oversized shirt with skinny sleeves today, I realize I have a serious affinity for all shirts of this silhouette. Probably because I have an affinity for drowning in my clothes, and ain't nothin' wrong with that.
Do you see this magnificent hot pink hex-nut friendship bracelet on my wrist? Well, it came from my BBFF- Blogging Best Friend Forever - Bekah over at Matters of Merrymaking! Merrymaking, indeed! What a super surprise this was to find in the mail - it brightened my day to every extreme, and every time I look at it it makes me so happy and MERRY! :)
Another lovely piece is the silver ingot around my neck. What's that, you say, you've never heard the word "ingot?" Well, neither had I, until my mom called it that.
ingot
[ing-guht]
noun
1. a mass of metal cast in a convenient form for shaping, remelting, or refining.
I received this necklace from my late Aunt Arline's collection when my cousin and I went through it awhile ago, and I thought it was just an incredibly cool piece, something I'd never seen before. Shortly following taking these photos and learning what an ingot was, my mom was wonderful enough to pass on her gold 1g ingot to me - photos of that one to come!

Diamonds on the soles of her shoes...
{Bed jacket: Luna | T-shirt: American Apparel | Jeans: JustFab | Booties: Steve Madden | Hat: Target} |
This outfit/bed jacket conjures up many thoughts to my mind: Rachel Zoe. Nicole Richie. '70s condo in Hawaii. Vintage old lady. Either way, I'm digging it.
Also, we thought way too late (as we were walking out the door) that rhinestoning the soles of our shoes would have been a magnificent choice.
