Friday's Fancies: Nice & Neon

This week's Friday's Fancies theme couldn't have come at a better time! Neon is a trend I was terrified of for awhile, but am finally getting on board with. I've found that the key to wearing BRIGHTS is to balance it out with classics and neutrals!

{jeans / sweater / heels / necklace / watch / polish}
I think that HOT pink is best complimented by classic black & white! You can pump up the volume a touch with some awesome printed jeans, keeping your accessories classic but bold. If you're dying for another pop of color, try it on your nails!
{blazer / tee / necklace / studs / purse / heels / skirt}
I know I basically just wore this outfit at Lucky FABB, but I couldn't resist reminding you all to wear something similar, too! I've dubbed camo the "new neutral," so pairing this NEON skirt with camo and a classic black blazer is perfect! I kept the jewelry cohesive but tough, and opted for another pop with this hot pink saddle bag!

Are you on board with the neon trend?

Camo + Gingham

{cardigan: old navy | shirt: aeropostale | jeans: nyc tripp | moccasins: minnetonka}
I'm a copycat. An internet copycat. While I hate copying in "real life," (like a 7-year-old), the internet is just bustling with an overwhelming amount of style inspiration, and sometimes, I can't help but totally steal it. When I saw this look on Seersucker and Saddles last week, I just knew I had to give this print mixing a try! I added a cardigan (cause it was chilly) and went with my favorite moccasins, because 1) I don't have bright blue shoes and 2) Heels don't work for my job, however... I think I tweaked that fabulous inspiration to fit my own style, and I love it! Camo is the new neutral!

Camo, Stripes, & Turquoise.

{jacket: nordstrom | tshirt: j. crew | jeans: urban outfitters | boots: target | necklace: luna}

Ahhh, the trifecta of favorites! Camo, stripes, & turquoise... I love them all, and I love them together! Plus, throw in a well-worn (or made to look well-worn haha) pair of jeans and some sweet tapestry boots, and I'm a happy lady! Sometimes, some classic, well-fit pieces and a big ol' statement necklace are all you need!

Keeping it Classic with eShakti!

{t-shirt: j. crew | cardigan: old navy | skirt: c/o eshakti | belt: target | sneakers: converse | necklace: forever 21 (gift from chelsea) | watch: urban outfitters | hat: nastygal}
My lovely affiliate eShakti was kind enough to send me a piece of my choosing to customize! If you haven't heard me rave about eShakti before, let me give you the 411! eShakti offers women's styles in sizes 0-36, made for women in all shapes and sizes! They also have amazing options to customize each piece! Not only can you send eShakti your measurements for a custom fit (I tried that for the first time with this skirt, and it fits like a dream!), but most pieces have some easy-to-try customization options, like different hem lengths, sleeve lengths, and necklines!

I've been in need of a classic little black skirt, and I found the perfect button front poplin skirt over at eShakti! The original was knee-length, but I decided to shorten it up a bit to flatter my shorter frame! I think this skirt is going to be super versatile! While I went pretty classic black and white with just a pop of red, I threw on this hat for a different look. I think I may have accidentally ended up looking a little bit American tourist on vacay in Panama, but alas, I liked it anyway, and I was comfy in our random 90-degree winter day!

eShakti has been kind enough to offer my readers 20% off when using the code DAILYDANI on any orders placed through 3/20! Take the next couple of weeks to peruse eShakti's classics and spring line, and give yourself the gift of customization, at a discount!

Check out these adorable dresses I am loving - they're perfect for transitioning into spring! (I'm especially loving that camo dress - it has the softness of a floral but the tough girl chic element of camo - so cute!)

Camo Copycat

{tee: jolie and elizabeth (gift) | jacket & leggings: nordstrom | cardigan (you can only see the sleeves): old navy | boots: sam edelman | scarf: deroucheau etsy shop}

So, my long-distance bestie Sarah sent me this adorbs NOLA-spirited tee for my birthday. I'm kind of obsessed with it, specifically (of course) the motto do whatcha wanna, because, let's be honest, life is best when you do just that! (Something that Sarah epitomizes - I admire her so much for always following her dreams and doing what's just right for her!)

Sarah & I had decided we were both going to style this tee up in our own ways and see where our creativity took us. And then I saw her post this outfit. And creativity flew right on out the window and halfway across the country. I did my best to copy her outfit to an exact science. (I skipped out on the peep toe pumps, as pumps + preschoolers do not mix.)

Anyway, sometimes, you just gotta straight-up copy your homegirl. Do whatcha wanna!

Fire Engine Red + Camo

{blouse (gift): nordstrom | pants: tripp nyc | boots: sam edelman | necklace: vintage}
I don't have too much to say about this outfit besides that I threw it together randomly one morning, I love every piece of it, and I love them all together. Also, these Petty boots are the loves of my life, and so is this gorgeous vintage turquoise statement necklace I snagged at the Aloha Swap Meet in Hawaii last year for $15! Score!
