Menagerie
I'm super into animal prints, but probably not the animal prints you're thinking of. While, yes, I do love a good leopard print, I also really love zoo-esque animal prints. I wore this Thursday night when I went out with Melissa to a Vice magazine launch party for Air alcohol. Air is some new canned malt beverage that basically tastes like a foamy wine cooler. Delicious description, I know. Sorry, Air, but I'm not on board. I mean, if I could only take a couple sips before I denied unlimited free alcohol, you know it was bad. Oh well.
Anyway, this menagerie-inspired blouse was perfect for the zoo I witnessed at the party. Perhaps I shouldn't say zoo, though. Animals don't behave in as odd a manner. I know I'm a pretty mainstream gal, and maybe launch parties aren't my scene, but I must say I've never seen so many weirdos trying to look cool in their lives. I'm glad I wash my hair. The end.

Rawr
| {Top: Foreign Exchange | Jeans: Frankie B | Boots: Steve Madden | Beanie: Luna | Necklace: Juicy Couture | Rings: Vintage, Nordstrom, Insanely Sweet etsy shop | Purse: F21} |
This outfit makes me happy, and here's why:
I love this top! I saw a similar one on Luna's Facebook page, but it sold out before I could get my hands on it, so I was super excited when I found it on the Foreign Exchange website! I'm a sucker for absolutely anything leopard print, and this top is no exception - I think it's perfect!
I found this beanie for $6 on sale at Luna, and I think it's perfect with the bow and pearl details!
I fondly refer to these suede wedge platforms as my "tranny boots," and I love when I get the opportunity to wear them, considering they're just not work appropriate for peeling glue off of kids' fingers and wiping paint off of their faces. ;)
And check out that Barbie ring! I discovered it through a random search on etsy on the Insanely Sweet shop. Oh my goodness, she has some to-die-for pieces! They remind me of Tarina Tarantino, only even more fun and funky, not to mention totally affordable!
In other news, I'm watching Matilda.

A cheater & a copycat!
| {Jacket & tank: F21 | Leggings: Target | Moccasins: Minnetonka | Necklace: Juicy Couture} |
So, let me begin by saying: I'm a cheater! I didn't wear this today! I wore this, oh, 2 weeks ago, the day I left for Coachella! However, I kind of hated what I wore today. Sooo, I went ahead and copied Bekah, and posted this old outfit! Yay!
I got lots of people telling me the gal on my shirt looked like me. I use the term "people" lightly as it was mostly 3- and 4-year-olds. Either way, I appreciate the insight! As I may have mentioned a few thousand times before, I love pretty much anything and everything Native American, so I'm very into this "glam Tiger Lily" screen print. (Copyright that, please.) I'm atypically one to do a Native American shirt paired with moccasins, but, hey, when in Rome. Er... When in the California-Intermountain Region? (Que sera sera...)

Coachella Round-Up! Part 1!
| {Tank: F21 | Cut-offs: Old A&F Jeans | Sneakers: Vans | Bow: Juju Boutique | Necklaces: dogeared & Juicy Couture | Bracelet: Humanity For All | Sunglasses: Juicy Couture} |

I'm not really into Electric Dance Music, but it's Melissa's fave, so we checked out this DJ. I enjoyed dancing to him a lot - he put on a really good show! We also hung around for some of Skrillex, but we didn't stay for the whole thing because that tent got very toasty, so we headed to the H&M Water Conscious Tent for some A/C and water!
Next we took a little snooze in the sunshine and then watched Lauryn Hill's set!
She was awesome! I've been a big Lauryn Hill fan since The Fugees, so I was super excited to hear her! When she sang "Everything is Everything," I didn't think I could get happier... until she started singing The Fugees' "Ready Or Not!" It was awesome!
After Lauryn Hill, we checked out Sleigh Bells.
I'm only a very recent Sleigh Bells fan, so I wasn't super familiar with everything I heard, but they put on a really good show! We agreed they'd be a great artist to see in a smaller venue!
My highlight of the night was Brandon Flowers!
He played a ton of sons from his album, plus a fantastic cover of "Bette Davis Eyes!" At the end of his set, he played a few Killers songs, which got the entire crowd (including myself) singing along and super happy! He was so happy to be on stage and very humble. I knew he was incredibly talented, but he definitely personified this through an amazing live performance! Plus, let's all admit how dreamy he is! I wish my last name were Flowers, for a variety of reasons.
We finished our night off with The Black Keys. I was so excited to hear "Howlin' For You!" They were good, but they're another artist I would definitely like to see in a smaller venue. I was a little unsure about the staging/lineup that Coachella put together this year - I would have put some artists on smaller stages or in earlier time slots, but I suppose that's just my opinion! Alas, Day 1 was lovely. I saw some great artists, and was ready to get some rest for Day 2!

Call me Mrs. Flinstone...
| {Top: F21 | Jeans: dELiA*s | Shoes: Toms | Bow: Boutique | Necklace: Juicy Couture} |
I love all of my Toms, and these are quite a special pair. "Chili tie dye" is how they were described when I ordered them, and they make me smile every time I look at them!
Also, these jeans cost $13.95.
And, yes, my necklace does say OMG.
On an exciting note, tomorrow I'm off to...
I am so stoked! There's nothing like a great festival weekend full of sunshine (albeit, excruciating heat), great people, great fashion, and (of course) great bands! I'm DYING to see Bright Eyes and fun., and Lauryn Hill, Brandon Flowers, The Black Keys, Robyn, Erykah Badu, New Pornographers, Mumford & Sons, Arcade Fire, Jimmy Eat World, Neon Trees, and Kanye West, either! I will report back to you all on my awesome experience - and of course, on my outfits! "See" you all next week!
