Friday's Fancies: Lovely Layers

{parka / chambray / tee (similar) / necklace / scarf / socks / boots / purse (similar) / jeans / watch / bracelets (1) (2) (3)}
Oh boy! Could a Friday's Fancies theme be any more up my alley?! If you're a Daily Dani regular, you know I've been going crazy for layers lately! Layers are the perfect solution to cold weather while still maintaining your fashion sense! There is something about military style and chambray that works perfect for layering, along with cozy socks and a worn-in tee! I can't wait to rock a similar outfit ASAP! What are your favorite layering pieces?

P.S. Have you entered my Knit Turban Giveaway yet?!

Knit Turban Giveaway

{jacket & top: nordstrom | jeans: just fab | boots: sam edelman | necklace: ily couture | turban: julianamade}
How fab is this knit turban?! I thought it was the absolute perfect topper to this layered look! Plus, it kept my ears toasty all through the chilly winter day! My friend and sorority sister Julie has an absolutely adorable etsy shop, julianamade, and when I saw her pieces (especially this turban!), I fell in love! Make sure you all head over to Julie's shop and check out her precious knitwear! Julie has been kind enough to offer you all a chance to win one of her precious knit turbans in this beautiful claret color, aka oxblood for all my fellow trend slaves! ;) To enter, use the rafflecopter below! Good luck!

Layers: Floral, Stripes, Leather, & Military

{jacket & scarf (gift): nordstrom | shirt: victoria's secret | leggings: target | boots: steve madden | earrings: gift}
I told you I've been into layering lately! I can't help it! It's the perfect solution to chilly mornings! And believe me, it's been seriously chilly in the mornings! Anyway, stripes and florals have now become a classic combination to me, and the military look seems to pair perfectly with just about anything!

One of my dearest friends came down from San Francisco to come to my birthday dinner, and surprised me with these earrings! She's been obsessed with Chanel since I met her the first day of our sophomore year of high school (and became my tennis doubles partner!), and every time I see the double Cs, I think of her! As she wrote on my card, everyone needs a little costume jewelry!

P.S. Remind me to be more careful about wearing leggings as pants in the future...

Leather, Military, Leopard, Stars & Stripes

{jacket: nordstrom | cardigan & jeans: old navy | tank & necklace (gift): forever 21 | boots: steve madden}
So, I've been super into layering lately. We hit a cold spell here in So Cal for awhile. I know you're probably scoffing at me, but 30 degrees in Southern California is COLD!Anyway, when I layer, I love to mix color, pattern, texture, shine... I've learned a lot from Stacy & Clinton over the years. ;) Pairing (faux) leather, olive military, leopard, and stars & stripes - you can't mix much more pattern than that! Plus, this top (it's actually a muscle tank) was a random purchase at the Forever 21 in Vegas. I was feeling kind of shlubby that day, so I ended up buying this top because it is craaazy soft and super comfy! Plus, in case you all didn't know, I'm a sucker for stars & stripes!

Happiness hit her like a bullet in the eye-eye-ye-ye-ye-yeyeyyeeeee...

{Blouse, Jacket, & Watch: Nordstrom | Jeans: Urban Outfitters | Moccasins: Minnetonka | Bracelet: Luna | Necklace: BaubleBar}
I wore this to the Florence + The Machine show at the Hollywood Bowl last weekend! My last Bowl show of the season was spent with good friends, eating cheeseburgers, and sharing a bottle of wine on a comfortable Southern California night (I actually got to put on a jacket! Omg!), and dancing to the beautiful music of Miss Florence Welch! Not only did Flo put on the most amazing show, but holy cow is she STUNNING! I tended to think she always looked a little too awkward and old for her age - but in person, oh my word, was she beeeautifulllll! Anyway, a wonderful night was had by all, especially me and my new military + leather jacket!
