I am so delighted to have Elaine of Clothed Much featured here on The Daily Dani today! She is an absolute icon of modest fashion in the blogging world, not to mention she is sweet as a cupcake! :)
3 words to describe your personal style?
simple, attainable, comfortable
What would you consider the 5 essential items to a fashionable wardrobe?
statement jewelry, hot pair of jeans whether it be skinny jeans or bootcut or wideleg for YOUR body!, white t-shirt, white button-down shirt, black flats
What is your favorite/most versatile accessory?
I love using my yellow flower necklace as a belt!
You are definitely a perfect model of modest fashion in the blogosphere. How do you maintain your modesty while still appearing fashionable?
Why, thank you!!! I appreciate the comment!! I don't think of modesty as a limitation but it gives me more space for creativity. If I see a style that wouldn't be modest for me, I like to think of a challenge to make it modest while still retaining that style.
One of the great things about your style is that you are able to make your outfits fashionable even while on a limited budget. What's funny is I would never even know if you hadn't told us! What are some of the major challenges in a modest budget, and what are your tips to working against them?
Definitely seeing all the great outfits and clothes from other fashion bloggers! It makes me want to go shopping to get the same outfit or shoes. I have to remind myself that I have financial priorities and clothes isn't at the top of that list, unfortunately. If I ever want to buy something, I just look at our budget sheet. It has all our purchases and our student debt (!!!!) and that's my reality check. Hahah! When I do get a shopping itch, I go to my local thrift store. I like to think that because I'm buying secondhand, I'm helping the earth as well as helping my wallet (kind of).
