Coachella 2014: Day Three

{tee: stylemint | shorts: i don't remember! (similar, similar) | booties: minnetonka (i'm trying to sell these size 7s on my poshmark account! + many available on ebay) | hat: nasty gal (similar) | sunglasses: target (still available in black)}
Ok, I was totally comfortable on Sunday! These soft shorts and basic tee and easy-peasy booties… nice and comfy. The hat was nice to keep the sun out of my face, but the hat also made my head hot. You win some, you lose some. Luckily, the wind and dust settled down on Day 3, and after sleeping in a little, I was ready to enjoy a full day of beautiful music!

My Day 3 line-up : Classixx, The 1975, Little Dragon, Lana Del Rey, Neutral Milk Hotel (I have been dying to see them since I was 18!), Beck, and Arcade Fire (Hearing them perform "Tunnels" was unreal!).

I pretend this is true every year, but I think I've got this whole all-day, 3-day-long festival thing down now. Sure, there are moments of "it's so hot I'm going to die" and "I'm so tired I'm going to cry" or "there's no way I'm doing this next year," but as I was leaving Coachella Sunday night, I thought, I can't wait to come back next year. Sigh. :) & a happy Coachella was had by all.

I took a sweet little collection of Instagram photos over the weekend, and I'll share those on here tomorrow! See you then!

Friday's Fancies: Labor Day Weekend

{necklace / purse / dress / hat / feather bangle / arrow bracelet / sandals}
As I started work/school already, Labor Day really is an official "goodbye" to summer for me and many others! So, bid your favorite summer pieces (i.e. a maxi dress, fedora, and sandals) a fond farewell as you trade them in for cozy sweaters, beanies, and booties! Now, if only the weather here would drop below 90...

Don't forget to enter my big ASOS Giveaway - winning it would surely make your Fridays especially Fancy!

Play Ball!

{hat: nasty gal (similar) | tee: express | skirt: i can't remember! (similar) | sandals: gap (borrowed - similar) | layered necklace: forever 21 (similar) | bubble necklace: ily couture | watch: c/o flex watches}
A lot going on in this outfit, eh? I'm unsure about it. I wanted to balance the tomboy-ish nature of the Panama hat and baseball tee with a floral and (apparently) lots of pink - I guess I accomplished my goal, but I think going the extra mile with some wedges or keeping it more classic with a gold monogram might have been more my style. It feels summer-y, but I don't know if it quite screams "Dani!" Better luck next time!

I decided to compile some personal baseball tee inspiration for the future!

 Baseball tees + pants: I definitely want to try pairing my baseball tees with camo print and/or booties!

Baseball tees + skirts: Pairing my baseball tees with bright colors, leopard prints, and feminine lace is definitely on my to-do list!

How do you style your baseball tees?

P.S. Today is your last day to enter The Dress Spot giveaway!
P.P.S. Do you love this awesome Flex watch as much as I do?! Check in tomorrow to see how you can win one of your own!

Panama Jack

{hat: nasty gal (similar) | cardigan: old navy (similar) | tee: target | jeans: urban outfitters | moccasins: minnetonka | necklace: ann taylor (similar)}
Let me tell you the truth. I 100% copied this look from the J. Crew catalog. It's been pinned on my real-life inspiration board for awhile, and I finally got around to replicating it, thanks to the appropriate weather gracing my presence. The best part? All of the pieces I used to pull it off are probably less than half the price of anything from J. Crew! Haha.

What do you think? How'd I do?!

Coachella Day 2: Stripes, Booties, & Panama Hat

{dress: modcloth (similar) | vest: j. crew | hat: nasty gal | booties: minnetonka | sunglasses: juicy couture}
Day 2 of Coachella will be known as "the day I looked like a tourist on the French Riviera." No, but really, I was unsure this ensemble was Coachella-esque enough until I met up with my friend Aasim and he told me, "THIS is exactly how I'd expect Dani to dress at Coachella! J. Crew goes Coachella!" And then I felt complete. And to answer you question, no, my boots are nowhere near this white anymore!

Saturday's lineup? Bat for Lashes, Grizzly Bear, The Postal Service, Moby, Two Door Cinema Club, The XX, and Phoenix. The Postal Service was BY FAR my favorite of the night and of the entire weekend! So much, that I'm going to see them again this summer - I can't wait! All hail Jenny Lewis and Ben Gibbard!
