I really enjoyed writing about the fashion from the SAG Awards a couple weeks ago, so I thought it was only appropriate to write up what I thought about this year's Grammy fashion! I will remind you again, I don't actually watch awards shows. They tend to bore me to tears. I do, however, love to check out the red carpet shots!
Lily: Now this is how you do baby bump! This watercolor tie-dye-esque print would be beautiful whether she was pregnant or not. The silhouette is perfect. // Skylar: While her makeup went a bit dark for the look, I think the dress is adorable. The cut is demure, and the lace is so pretty and feminine. I also like how she anchored down the girly factor with a solid shoe with a modern cut in a pretty red. // Paris: Never did I ever think these words would come from me, but Paris Hilton wore my favorite look this evening! The cut, color, and lace are beautiful, and flatter her perfectly. Definitely impressed. Ms. Hilton you must be worth a trillion bucks. // Boogie: I know this dress is fairly simple and classic, but I think that's the perfect thing to do when you're on the arm of a well-known man. This dress fit her like a glove, the purple looks great against her hair and skin tone, and I liked the special touch with the little ruffles. I also appreciate Trey Parker's nod to matching with his purple pocket square! // Kelly: I rarely like anything Kelly Osbourne wears, and I can't get on board with her gray hair (You're not Tavi Gevinson...), but for once she looks great. The gold dress is lovely, and the waistline and one-shoulder make her body look fantastic. Maybe a bit formal for the Grammys, but I must admit, Kelly looks lovely.
Anne: Shouldn't underwear models be naturally inclined to wear underwear? Oops... // Katy: In theory, this is a pretty dress. In reality, it is not appropriate for the occasion, it is ill-fitting, and she's another someone who forget to wear undergarments. Big oops. // Robyn: I love Robyn. I've loved her since she came out with her first CD when I was 11. Sadly, the top is too loose and the belly is too tight, making this dress just all wrong. // Taylor: How old is Taylor Swift now? 65? This looks like a dress that would be more appropriate for Helen Mirren, and she's a senior citizen. It also has the appearance of a Turkish area rug. The pulled-back hair and dark eyes feel too harsh for her light complexion. I'd prefer to see her in one of her typical sparkly tank dresses, or at least anything that looks age-appropriate!
Katy: So, has Katy Perry officially dyed her hair every color of the rainbow yet? Yes? Ok cool; she can stop now. // Val: Jeff Bridges? Please return to the hair from your Batman days. // Skrillex: I know he wears his hair like this at all times, but I have to ask... Why? // Alicia: She looks like a soft serve ice cream cone. At least nothing could bring too much attention away from her beautiful face.
Foster The People: I really have to appreciate any men who step a bit outside of the box and show some originality in their look. I especially like the khaki and plaid look. // Carl Broemel: Carl from My Morning Jacket has a good look going here - It reminds me of something Johnny Depp would wear, if he showered and brushed his teeth. // Blake Shelton: Has Blake ever looked bad? (No. He has not.) // Bruno Mars: Hands-down best-dressed man at the Grammy Awards. He is impeccable from his tortoise-shell frames right down to his cuffs. Talk about handsome! // Jack Anthony: Jack Anthony Mooring looked great in his piped jacket, bow tie, and statement belt buckle. He also proves something that we should all remember, whether we're male or female: a smile is your best accessory!
So what do you all think? Do you agree/disagree? Who were your favorites this year? Who did I leave out?

The Bad

The Worse
I don't even know if I can seriously comment on any of these outfits, because I don't know if any of them are serious about wearing them... Bonnie: Galactic skeleton? Meh... // Nadeea: Liza Minelli meets '80s Madonna meets Electric Daisy Carnival? Yikes... // Nicki: Ok, Lady Gaga, we get it. Enough already. // Fergie: What's sad is, this look look could have been amazing with a nude or color-coordinated (or any) slip underneath. At least she is one of tonight's attendees who remembered her underwear. I can see her grammy panties...
Bad Hair Day

Thanks for the fashion recap! I was at a wedding last night and it completely slipped my mind to DVR the Grammys. Looks like there was some craaaazy fashion going on. I know people like to step outside the box for the Grammys, but really?
