{Shirt: J. Crew | Belt: Nordstrom BP | Skirt: Oboe | Flats: Soda | Shoe Clips: ban.do | Ring & Earrings: Forever 21} |
This morning, I loved everything about this outfit - except for the way it looked together. I mixed together new and old pieces to create what turned out to feel like a schizophrenic cowgirl. As the day went on, and my coworkers and parents at work complimented me, I felt better, and looking at these pictures prove the point I couldn't see at 7am - I looked pretty cute today.
I've had these flats since high school, so they're 6+ years old, but I updated them with these absolutely smashing shoe clips from ban.do. How can you go wrong with an overly sparkly red heart? (Apologies for the sideways photo - blogger doesn't want to cooperate with me today.)
I anxiously awaited the arrival of this shirt on my doorstep, after being inspired to buy it by Kendi and Linley. I'm not one to typically mix prints, but after throwing this leopard skinny belt over my buffalo check shirt, I have to say I think I may be trying it out more often!
All in all, sometimes you've just got to suck up your morning crankiness and rock an outfit - better luck avoiding my internal temper tantrum next time!
love the leopard over the gingham - it looks great! and glad you got this shirt! isn't if just fabulous? and great to remix!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Can't wait to remix the gingham AND the leopard! :)
ReplyDeleteI thought you looked great from the moment you descended the stairs this morning.
ReplyDeleteI just saw this posted to Everybody, Everywear. Thanks for joining in!
ReplyDeleteI am too scared to try print mixing, but I think using a belt is just the step I need to take.
I love those little flats!
