HOLY GUACAMOLE!
Please, let me explain to you the past hour or so of my life:
I've been having some internet problems for a few weeks, our cable goes in and out and makes wireless shotty. I was trying to draft this very blog post, when my photos started to appear as dreaded triangles with exclamation points inside. A proverbial digital YIELD. I tried to refresh, and was suddenly told that my Google account was disabled, and my blog had been removed.
Immediate reaction? No, I did not cry, and I deserve a pat on the back for this, as I cry watching movie trailers and plug my ears during those Sarah McLachlan animal rescue commercials. My immediate reaction was to text my blogging besties: Bekah, Sarah, and (the other) Sarah. Haha. Bekah immediately began researching what was wrong. Sarah #1 calmed me down. She's good at that. And, well, I think Sarah #2 was already asleep. (It's cool; I still love you, girl.) Then, I e-mailed Google and Blogger. Then, I freaked out.
I was mourning the loss of a year's worth of content, a year's worth of followers, a year's worth of my blogger reader, a year's worth of dedication. I was rubbing my eyes, with a headache, in complete frustration.
An hour later, Google e-mailed me and said "We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. The issue you described should now be resolved." And all is well in the world.
Has anything like this ever happened to you? What did you do? What WOULD you do if it did?
Now, onto the post I was planning to write...
Have you noticed the absence of outfit posts in 2012? (Yes, it's only been a few days, but humor me...)
See above for what I've worn for the past three days. BOOOORINGGGG! All of a sudden, I feel totally uninspired and uncreative with my outfits. I have no clue why!
Maybe it's my aversion to the fact that today was a record-breaking high temperature for January in California. Yes, friends, it was 89 degrees here today. Please spare me saying that you're jealous and would gladly trade in your cold weather and snow for this nausea, because it is seriously unnatural, unwanted, and just plain gross! Haha. I'm already limited to how "wintery" I can get in Southern California, but this is just riDONKulous!
Maybe I'm having a quarter-life crisis, seeing as my 25th birthday is 10 days away. (Don't worry, I'm hard at work planning an outfit for that celebration.)
Or maybe it's the fact that my hair is extra-fluffy lately. (I mean that in a bad way.)
I've been pinning a lot of clothes and outfit ideas on Pinterest, but for some reason when I try to put them together, I feel totally out of place or uninspired!
Somebody, please, for the love of cupcakes, hot dogs, baby dinosaurs, and seafoam green...
Inspire Me.
That is crazy you thought you almost lost all of your blog! At least it's up and running now. Your 3 outfits are not boring at all either. They seem to be "you" from this end. It is hard to be inspired though when it's 89 degrees out! You end up wanting to wilt and hang out in your bathing suit with those temps, lol! Hopefully you get your mojo back soon :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha you crack me up girl. Glad everything is better!
ReplyDeletedani, i know how you feel! my outfits have been so "blah" recently. however, i love the three you posted. since i am on shopping restriction, i have been trying to wear more basic items, and spice them up with scarves, headbands, necklaces, etc.

p.s. so happy your blog did not disappear!
Oh gurl! I am so sorry that you had some bloggin troubles! SOO Happy it's all good, though!! Love ya
ReplyDeleteUm........you look fantastic in those shots. Your outfits are amazing especially the middle shot. You are so funny. AND having said all that, I completely understand. I scour the internet for inspiration when I feel that way. I print out photos of outfits that I could easily put together with my current wardrobe and I put them in a binder. On the days I feel shitty, I look through that book for inspiration. It works almost 98% of the time. The other 2% I'm just blah.
ReplyDeleteLove you girl,
Tracy
I have been feeling thee exact same way!! I have no clue why either, pinterest is a good start for inspiration. heading there too :)
ReplyDeleteI have heard of this happening to some of my other blog friends but it's never happened to me (yet!)
ReplyDeleteI think I would have a full blown panic attack! Love your outfit posts and look forward to reading more this year!
UGH.. I would have lost it! Glad all is right with the world. U always look great, jeally of all that fluffy hair!
ReplyDeleteBaby girl, I love those outfits and I think you should always post no matter how "simple" the outfit because it's a two way street in style blogging and even the most simple outfit from Dani L. Shapiro may inspire Lucy Jo Freebush. By the by, I love that middle outfit my darlin dear! (Don't judge me for my extreme run on sentence up there... yes, i am a teacher. eek)
ReplyDeletelove love, and I'm glad your blog is back in the land of the living... because MoM couldn't live without you.
Oh, you poor thing! I for sure would have freaked out! Glad all is well again though. I'm feeling a bit uninspired too, so I'm going to start by cleaning out my closet...getting rid of things I haven't worn, and hopefully seeing the remaining items will spark a little something!
ReplyDeleteGlad you worked everything out. :) I'm a CA girl as well and I'm loving the warm weather, but a little rain would sure be nice. Have a lovely weekend.
