Paper Doll Project!

{Top/Jacket & Belt: F21 | Dress: Loehmanns | Booties: Payless | Earrings: Target}

I have to start by saying I am so excited to have gotten the chance to participate in the Paper Doll Project this month! This is one of my favorite "blogger community projects" out there - such a cute idea! Not sure what it's all about? Let me sum it up for you. Basically, you sign up to participate, and the ladies in charge match you up with a fellow participate blogger, and you get to style each other for a day! I was lucky enough to be paired up with Rochelle over at rochelle approved! Not only is she a super sweetheart and one of my favorite new bloggie friends, but she totally rocked the you-know-what out of the item I asked her to style!

Speaking of, we chose to style this floral top/shirt/jacket/dress thing! I got it about 3 years ago in the "lingerie" section of Forever 21, and I've only worn it once, and I (in the most boring of ways) wore it with a white tank and leggings. Woh wohhhh. That was super boring - but look at this change! Rochelle thought it would be best to play off of the uber-femininity of this piece and "toughen it up" a bit - with the simple/classic dress, bold belt (I love the way the jacket's bow peeks out of this biker belt!), and menswear-inspired booties and watch! She also wanted me to add in feathered jewelry because she knows how much I love it and that it's "my thing!" I'm so impressed by the way Rochelle's styling tips played out, and I can't wait to rock this outfit, and continue styling this piece in similar "girly with a hint of bold" ways!

To see how I helped Rochelle style one of her puzzling pieces, head over to her her blog!
