Coast to Coast Style: Monochromatic Inspiration

Yet another thrown-together-at-7am outfit. The month of December must have been fairly haphazard for me. Anyway, I don't have a lot to say about this outfit except for this:

• Wedge high-tops pump up any outfit.
• I wore this hand-knit beanie home from my friend's apartment about 5 years ago and never gave it back. Sorry, Brian.
• Now I know why I'm more drawn to colors. I look like an empty page of a coloring book!

Friday's Fancies: Party Attire!

This week's Friday's Fancies theme is party attire, to celebrate the 100th Friday's Fancies link-up! I can't believe I caught on so late in the game, but I'm so glad I'm linking up now!

If you ask me, nothing says fabulosity like rocking a monochromatic look! Red always makes a bold statement, and with a flouncy party dress, some cute & comfy flats, and a blazer to pull it all together, you'll be sure to catch the attention and admiration of your fellow party guests! Anchor your outfit with neutral accessories, and you've got it going on! How FUN are these polka dot tights? They are sure to make a statement! Plus, I'm dying over that ring and those earrings - such strong, yet versatile, pieces! Can every one of these items please find their way to my closet immediately?!

Brick Red & A Blogaversary!

{Shirt: Luna | Pants & Watch: Urban Outfitters | Boots: Steve Madden | Necklace: Craft Fair}

I am so into these pants. I got them awhile ago, took my sweet time getting them hemmed (about a foot, like all my other pants), and then felt like I needed serious help planning outfits around them. Turns out, they go with pretty much EVERYTHING! I was afraid that pairing them with more red was a bit too much, but turns out - it's kind of perfect! I tend to gravitate towards monochromatic looks, but am fearful of them at the same time. Luckily, this one dispelled my fear because I love it!

P.S. Today is my Blogaversary! Just one year ago today I began to carve out my little corner in the blogosphere and I am so happy I did! The Daily Dani has helped me to evolve my look, open my mind, and most importantly, make some fantastic friendships. Thanks for all of your support! Here's to many more! :)
