Blogger Feature: Gentri of Gentri Lee

Gentri is gracing my blog today, and I'm so pleased to present her. Everything she says and posts and wears makes me smile! She's a positive gal with a zest for life, and I love reading about her quest on her blog, Gentri Lee!

3 words to describe your personal style?
Three words that would describe my personal style would be:
- Outdoorsy
- Feminine
- Classic
Three very different words, but that's what you'd find in my closet. :)

What is your favorite item in your closet?
My favorite item in my closet would have to be my Rose Gold Michael Kors Watch. I know it's not an article of clothing, but it's my favorite item I own. I worked hard for that baby. Ok, and my chambray shirt.

Fashionably, what time period inspires you most?
I would have to say that I am most inspired by the 30's/40's as well as the 70's. I kind of mix and match.

Here in Southern California, we don't exactly get true "seasons." How does seasonal weather affect your wardrobe choices?
Seasonal weather affects my wardrobe greatly. I live in the mountains, so we have all four seasons. I try to find pieces that I can wear all year and alter to fit other seasons just by adding a jacket or tights, etc.

As a student/young professional, how do you find a balance between fashion and comfort/professionalism/appropriateness?
"young professional"? Ooo! I like the sound of that. haha! Just like with the seasons, I really try to find pieces that I can make work for all of my lifestyles. Some of my favorite pieces are collared shirts. They can go from school/ work to a weekend/ night out while staying really comfortable.

You are definitely a model of modest fashion in the blogosphere. How do you maintain your modesty while still appearing fashionable?
Thank you! I have wondered if that was something people would notice. I have the opinion that our body is a temple and should be treated as such. It is important to reflect that in our dress. I honestly don't struggle finding items that are fashionable AND modest. Maybe because I've never even considered immodest clothing so I skip right over it, or perhaps because it's really not as hard to find modest and fashionable clothing as everyone thinks it is. I do own a few tank tops and "shorter" skirts, but there are ways to make them modest. Cardigans, blazers, and tights are my bff's!

One trend I'm dying to try is
I am dying to try "equestrian" or "parachute pants" (I only call them that out of lack of knowledge for a better term...). I can't wear jeans to school and I am thinking these could be a GREAT substitute.

My most cringe worthy fashion moment:
Hmmm... My most cringe worthy fashion moment would have to be... I guess every time I go grocery shopping. haha! Yes, I am one of "Thoooose" people. The ones in sweats with their greasy hair on top of their head. What can I say? I'm lazy at the end of the day!

I feel most myself when I’m wearing:
I feel most myself when I'm wearing what fits my mood. It's hard having a dress code for school because I am someone that completely dresses for how I'm feeling. I love getting dressed up, but most of the time I'm in skinny jeans, a tshirt, toms or my ankle boots, and a jacket of some kind. Ready for adventure!

Head over and say hi to Miss Gentri Lee!
