I'd fallen in love with the J. Crew version of this top awhile ago, and when I noticed it at LOFT, I knew it was finally within my financial reach! ;) Well, Cyber Monday nearly brought tears to my eyes when everything on the LOFT website was 50% off! And this sparkly little number was mine!

I bought it almost 2 months ago, but hadn't quite figured out how to wear it - yes, it's a standout piece on its own, but I felt like it needed a little pizzazz to match its special sparkle! So, I finally ended up belting it and pairing it with a double denim ensemble and a pop of bright coral shoes! What do you think? :)

New Year's Eve

I'd originally planned not to post this outfit for a few weeks (I have so many outfit photos saved up, I don't know how that happened...), but I decided to be a little more relevant and post now. (Haha.) Turns out, yellowish-beige hotel hallway lighting isn't the most flattering, so the outfit photos we took last night aren't quite going to make it to the blog.

Anyway, last night my friends and I headed down to the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego to an event that my friend Bryant was DJing at. It was fun to hang out with long-time friends and dance, but mostly, I think I'm too old to party all night long. ;) I was asleep by 2am, and boy did that feel good! I'm thinking next year I'm ready to have a quiet NYE night at home. I am almost a senior citizen, after all. ;)
