This week, I'm so happy to feature the lovely Anna of Fash Boulevard! Her style is so impeccable and creative, and I love all of her celebrity features. You've got to check out her Fash Fail/Fave Fridays! Read on for some insight into what inspires Anna's adorable, fun style!
3 words to describe your personal style?
Classic, dramatic, and girly.
Who are your celebrity style icons?
Rachel Zoe is sort of that fashion Barbie doll we all wish we could be. She's always inspiring me to add a little something extra to each outfit. Nicole Richie was one of my first style crushes and I really loved following the evolution of her style. Lately she's been wearing a lot of stunning dresses with minimal accessories which I'm sort of obsessed with. When it comes to everyday style, Rachel Bilson is always classically chic while still being very real and current.
How would you style the classic LBD to reflect your personal style?
A faux fur coat with tights and a pair of sky high Mary Jane pumps. And of course I would top my look off with a few pieces of statement jewelry including an oversized cocktail ring, which is always a must for me.
Fashionably, what tv shows and movies have inspired you most?
I love the 1940's style throughout "The Notebook." It's glamorous and classic and just another great excuse to watch an all time fave of mine. Another would have to be "Breakfast at Tiffany's" for making the little black dress forever iconic. I also love Kate Hudson's free-spirited and whimsical style in "Almost Famous." I can see Rachel Zoe rocking pretty much all of Kate's pieces. And of course "Sex and the City." Anything good enough for Carrie Bradshaw is good enough for me.
I splurge on: classic pieces such a faux fur coat or intricately detailed lace and sequin dresses that I know will be in my closet far beyond the current season. And I save on: fast fashion items, by shopping at stores like H&M and Forever 21. If it's going to be out of style in two weeks it's not worth breaking the bank.
One trend I'm dying to try is: A turban headband. I have yet to find the perfect one but one of these days I’m going to pull off the Mary Kate Olsen turban headband look.
I feel most myself when I’m wearing: Heels. I would sleep in them if I could. I don't feel complete until I have a pair on and nothing makes me happier then adding a new pair to my collection!
