Leopard + Four Eyes

Totally in love with this look. Not only was it crazy comfortable, it felt so super-duper "teacher"-y! The collared shirt combined with the drapey cardigan combined with the four-eyes glasses made me feel scholarly and ready to teach! Also, for some reason, the kids were super into this outfit. You can't imagine how many questions 1st graders ask when you show up wearing glasses after having not worn them for 4 weeks. Shock and awe doesn't begin to cover their enchanted little faces!

Style - Coast to Coast: Printed Pants

Sarah and I are back with another round of Style: Coast to Coast! This time around, we're talking printed pants!

{cardigan: old navy | tee: j. crew (similar) (similar) | pants & belt: target | heels: shoemint (similar) (similar) | purse: c/o olivia & joy via luckyfabb gift bag (similar) (similar) | watch: marc by marc jacobs}
I've worn these pants once before, and kept it super simple with a crisp, white button-down, but this time I felt it necessary to take things up a notch! Stripes and florals are almost like a classic staple in my wardrobe these days, and this combo was no exception! Since the pants have a navy base, I just added navy stripes (plus this navy cardigan) and it makes an otherwise wild combination totally doable! (Also, these cap toe pumps are pretty much everything I've ever wanted... aside from the fact that I can't walk in them for more than 5 steps without wanting to cut my feet off. #fashiongirlproblems)

Now, onto Sarah!

Sarah went with print mixing too, but in a much more subtle way! Her polka dotted pants are super versatile, and so are her leopard shoes! As far as I'm concerned, leopard is a neutral unto itself. What's funny is that even though Sarah has got two adorable prints going on, what stands out to me most is her marigold top! Way to show us how you can make a statement without being overwhelming!

Friday's Fancies: Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!

{trousers / sweater / shoes / necklace / bracelet / watch}

Shoes, shoes shoes! What else is there to say?! This week's Friday's Fancies challenge? To choose a pair of shoes and create an outfit around them! I chose these perfect cap-toe heels (that I happen to have recently purchased!) and went from there! I wasn't totally on board with the cap-toe trend when it first came on the scene, but I've officially succumb to loving these pumped-up kicks! Since these shoes were a major statement, rather than downplay the rest of the outfit, I added more punchy pieces: floral trousers & a HOT pink sweater compliment these heels, and a bright orange statement necklace, gold chain link bracelet, and red watch all keep this look fun and sassy!
