Cozy Slobbery (21/30)

{Sweater: H&M | Tank: UO | Leggings: Target | Boots: Steve madden | Scarf: Nodstrom | Ring: F21}

I think I should start referring to my style as comfy casual slob chic. You've heard of the Mary-Kate & Ashely boho style - well, I'm reinventing it as slobbery. I went to brunch at the Smokehouse in Burbank yesterday with Melissa and my whole mom's side of the family for a delicious brunch buffet. I can't tell you how much we ate. Well, I can, but it would be embarrassing. So much delicious food that we seriously didn't eat for the rest of the day!

It's pretty cold here in Southern California - 40s and 50s is cold here - so I just wanted to be comfortable and warm, and this was the result! Hello again, gray v-neck! Fancy seeing you here for the 50th time. (Can't lie, very anxious for the end of the 30 for 30 - I miss the rest of my closet!)

I was very sad when I realized that my 30 for 30 was going to run into the next Everybody Everywear fun-fest. Lucky for me, we chose polka dots - and I have polka dots in my remix! Happy days.

Surprise! Take 2 (20/30)

{Blouse: F21 | Jeans: Hudson | Boots: Steve Madden | Earrings: Vintage | Bangles: F21, Vintage, Tilly's | Ring: Luna Boutique | Purse: Halston Heritage}

Here's the 2nd item I swapped out for my 30x30! Once again - color and print! Hurray! This also happens to be one of my favorite tops. I think it's very flattering, which always makes it comfortable to wear.

My earrings are from one of my grandma's collections, and I think they're fun. Alana wore a similar pair the other day, and she inspired me to pull mine out!

I also thought I'd show you all the purse I use on a daily basis. I got it for 50% off at Nordstrom, and bought the entire thing with gift cards. It's kind of heavenly, as is the fact that I basically got it for free!

Switcheroo! (19/30)

{Shirt: J. Crew | Skirt: F21 | Tights & Bow : Target | Boots: Steve Madden | Necklace: Nordstrom | Coat: BB Dakota}

 Surprise! I chose to swap out one of my unworn 30x30 items for this skirt! Some print AND some color - not to mention an exposed zipper - just what I've been needing! Despite a few confused looks I received today over my mixed prints, I enjoyed this outfit today.

I also wanted to show you all the coat I throw on over my outfits everyday. It's nice and cozy and I love the print. I also thought I'd show you one of my kitties (Owen) - the one who doesn't sneak his way into every one of my pictures.

A pretty scarf and an executive decision. (18/30)

{Sweater: Nordstrom | Jeans: William Rast | Boots: Steve Madden | Scarf: Foreign Exchange | Belt: UO}

Summary: I love this scarf. You can't really tell from the photos, but there are rhinestones sewn all over it. It's so pretty and makes me happy. I got the inspiration to belt my scarf from Ashley.

And now: I still haven't worn two of my 30 for 30 items, so I am making the executive decision to swap them out. I'm not totally sure what I'm going to switch them with, but I will point it out on here when I do! Is this cheating? Maybe. Am I going to do it anyway? Yes.

Blogalicious

Follow my blog with bloglovin

I'm behind the times, I know, but I just made a bloglovin' account!

In other (very exciting) news, Melissa and I will be attending Retail/Blogger Camp! In April, this is a 2-day conference in Burbank with lots of speakers and seminars that totally cater to what we're interested! Day 1 is all about retail/marketing and Day 2 is specifically for bloggers! We are so excited! Check out the schedule - is anyone else out there going, too?

4 forms of black that don't match (17/30)

{Blouse: Zara | Shorts: F21 | Leggings: Target | Sandals: Jeffrey Campbell | Pins: Bando | Ring: Nordstrom}

Honestly, I hate this outfit. Since I'm house sitting, I didn't pack up all 30 of my items. Outfits I thought were going to work didn't, and I was left with this ensemble. I did get lots of compliments today, so I'm going to try to hate it less. But if I'm going to be honest, I won't be wearing this ensemble again. (I'm a baby.)

Nearly failed experiment in self-timing (16/30)

{Shirt: Stem via Nordstrom | Unsweatpants: J. Crew | Boots: Steve Madden | Belt: Vintage | Necklace: ?}

Well, I'm house/dog sitting this weekend, so I'm without my trusty photographer (also known as my mom), so I took about 5 million pictures using my self-timer toda. Best part of this outfit is my belt - I got it at a really fun boutique in NYC a couple years ago. I rarely find the right way to wear it, but I think it really spruced up this outfit just right. There really isn't much else to say, besides excuse my embarrassing poses. That last one is for my buddy Jared, who was a fan of (/mocked) a prior similar pose. I'm off to work at a 5-year-old's birthday party now. Three words: My Little Pony.

Halfway through! (15/30)

{Sweaterdress: Akualani via Luna | Leggings: Target | Belt: Nordstrom | Flats: Soda | Shoe Clips: Bando}

Wearing this dress for the first time in my 30x30! It's so super comfy (have you noticed a trend in my wardrobe?) and it can be dressed up or down, which I love. These mint green pom-pom shoe clips are so fabulous. I wish I could afford to buy every single thing from ban.do!

I've now worn 28 out of my 30 items... planning on a 29th this weekend. The 30th (a sequin trimmed jacket), I'm still unsure about - it's a tad too dressy/nice for work - maybe I can have a mid-remix swap out? Is that cheating? Perhaps I can think of it as "making my own rules?"

I've felt like I've been so boring over the past 15 days, but looking at all of my outfits at once, I'm kind of proud of myself! Hoping I can keep the next 15 days just as creative!

Another note: check out the fun new addition to my hair - feather extensions! One of my coworkers did it in about 5 minutes! They're natural feathers, so you can wash/curl/straighten/wave them, and they're crimped onto my hair with a little washer bead - so easy! I want more! I'm so excited about them - feathers are my favorite thing!

Pasty face + monochromatic (14/30)

{Sweater + Necklace: Nordstrom | Unsweatpants: J. Crew | Boots: Steve Madden | Bracelets: Tilly's, Vintage, Boutique, Betsey Johnson}

Well, I'd have to say that my title says it all. For some reason, my face is completely washed out in these photos. One day I'll figure out the tricks of an image editing tool to fix this. On my inspiration board on my wall, I've been saving a lot of monochromatic looks. Sadly for me, the only monochromatic option I have in my 30 for 30 picks is navy. Oh well. I also never match my belt to my shoes (cardinal broken rule?) but it seemed appropriate today.

I got my hair done yesterday. Can't tell? Neither could anyone else. My hairdresser and I have been slowly and gradually transitioning me into the ombre look for about 6 months now. So yesterday, we went even darker up top and pulled it down a bit further. She also cut off a good 2 inches. Sad face. Word to the wise: Don't go 4 months without a trim, because you will lose a lot of length. And sad face again.

Panama Jane (13/30)

{Hat: Eugenia Kim for Target | Top: H&M | Leggings: Target | Flats: Steve Madden | Bracelet: Betsey Johnson | Brooch: Vintage}

May I please begin by saying that (due to the fact that it's February 15), I was sure I had worn 15 different outfits. Wrong. Thanks to my weekend lazy days, today is only outfit 13. Sigh...

Anyway... Here we go with this blush swirly poufy shirt, as I fondly refer to it. I thought I'd mix it up a bit by pulling and pinning it. When I saw this pin in my Aunt's jewelry collection, I knew I had to have it. I love pretty much anything in fashion that has to do with animals. Enter the parrot on this hat. I remember getting so excited when Eugenia Kim had her line for Target, and finding this fun fedora and loving the precious little parrot on it. My bracelet is a giant jingling charm bracelet full of everything I love: sparkles and feathers and rhinestones and hearts... Oh my!

Also, please enjoy my kitten Zachary. You may have noticed his sneak appearances in my pictures before.

Oh, by the way, today one of the kids told me I looked like Hannah Montana. Once again: insult or compliment?
