"Casual" Friday

Some people refer to wearing jeans on Fridays as "Casual" Friday. I'd like to refer to this particular Friday as "Exhausted" Friday, or "Lazy" Friday, or "Dead Tired Friday." I, being the responsible adult that I am, stayed up a bit too late on Thursday night and was not happy to wake up at 5:30am Friday, so I took advantage of a Friday jeans day. (FYI: The teachers at my school seem to consider every day Casual Friday, but I am keeping up my "teacher clothes" persona up as long as I can!) I figured that a flared leg kicks denim up a notch, so I pulled these wide-leg babies out of the back of my closet and they are officially back in the rotation!

I actually really liked this outfit, but I looked so tired in all of the photos that this is all you get! ;)

So, I've had an insanely busy week. Meaning work over a week straight full of work, class, meetings, family events, social events. I was lucky to fit in a few hours to sleep here and there! So, my Friday's Fancies are a tad late. Sunday's Specialties? Yep.

The theme this week is emerald - Pantone's 2013 Color of the Year! Hurray! I kind of figure this strong shade of green isn't something you need to go overboard on, so pairing it with some classic neutrals and structured accessories is just perfect!
