So, what did my friends and I do about five seconds after we finalized those plans? Begin to plan our outfits, of course! After dabbling with a few options, I quickly got a very clear vision in my head of what I wanted to wear, thanks to Kristin Cavallari. (I know; I'm a traitor.)

But now comes the problem(s)...
(1) It's probably going to be too hot to wear a jacket inside.
(2) I like to wear bras. (Sorry if that's TMI, but...) Seriously, though, even strapless bras are iffy (and I don't own a black one), and I'd really prefer to wear a top I can wear a bra with.
(3) I am TOTALLY BLANKING on any possible outfit ideas for this amazing skirt!
That's where you all come in! I'll be forever grateful if any of you can figure out a way for me to style this skirt! Whether you want to find me some accompanying items I can buy, make me a Polyvore set like a champ, or just comment with an idea, I would sooo appreciate the help!
Thanks, baby dinos! Love ya!
first of all i went to high school with that model. her name is terra jo and she is insanely nice. it freaks me out to see her all over the internet.
ReplyDeletesecond... could you do a tight black tee tucked in? or a black take top with a collar of some sort?

good luck! i love the skirt.
The skirt is beautiful and bold! My thoughts... for a "dressed down" laid-back look: the skirt would be cute with a cotton tee in a neutral solid or light print with statement necklace. For an edgier, club look: a leather tank top (where the backside is a breathable cotton) in cognac, burgundy or black would be killer. Can't wait to see how you end up styling it!
ReplyDeleteThis layered metallic sleeveless top from F21 has a sheer effect, without the see-through quality. The bronze color could go well with all the sequin tones! It's simple enough to wear with a statement necklace.

Hey girl, I think a silk or even velvety black tank would look really good tucked in, with a long necklace or chunky statement earrings....anyway, THIS blog post immediately popped into my mind when I saw yours. I think it looks great!

I think if you wore a pretty lace bra underneath, that would be perfect! That way you're not too warm from layers, and if it peeks out a bit it's totally acceptable.
ReplyDeleteMaybe something like this? http://wintersilks.blair.com/product/9135.uts?cid=cs_ws_googleshopping
Good luck!
Ooh! What an awesome skirt! I think a fitted black tank or tee would be great :)
ReplyDeleteAHHH love this skirt!! It would be super cute if you could find maybe a black lace top or something subtile to not take the attention off the skirt. I can't wait to see pictures. Sounds so fun!
