Summer Layers

{Loafers, Shirt & Dress (worn as skirt): Target | Necklace: Cheerfully Charmed | Watch: Nordstrom}
Our "Indian Summer," if you can even call it that, is still raging on. In my mind, Indian Summer is meant to sound pleasant, I think, but our weather is truly far from pleasant. For example, as I'm writing this, it is 99 degrees outside. 99 DEGREES. ON OCTOBER 1. And on that, my friends, I call BS.

Anyway, putting together creative warm-weather outfits is becoming increasingly difficult. I mean, layers? LAYERS? In 100 degree weather?! It's basically blasphemous. I can't believe I even dared to wear close-toed shoes and a sleeve to my elbow. Well, no matter how roasting hot I was when I wore this, I think it looked pretty awesome. Rock covers paper? More like... Creativity covers heat stroke.

You've heard the little ditty rain, rain, go away? Well, rain, I take it back. I take back every time I ever sang that stupid song.
