{H&M sweater, J. Crew Button-down, William Rast jeans, Me Too flats via Nordstrom, Urban Renewal belt, Betsey Johnson earrings, Vintage bracelet} |
Day 3 is my favorite outfit so far! I can't believe I haven't thought to wear any of these items together yet! A favorite of most bloggers (See: Everybody, Everywear!), this button-down is so wonderful! Tissue-thin, perfect fit, and pops with anything you wear it with. I just can't get enough. This cheap-o H&M sweater was such a great find, too - it was something like $15, is super-soft, and super-flattering, I think. I've also always been a big fan of a nice, red flat. I have some vision of NYC girls walking the streets on a Spring day in a red flat that just calls to me. You're welcome, for a glimpse into my bizarre train of thought.
This "Navajo" belt from Urban Outfitters is another one of my loves - I like to think that Native American-inspired pieces go with anything and everything, my own version of a neutral, and here is some proof of that theory! Also, I've been posting pics on here without mentioning where some of my jewelry comes from. Usually, if I don't mention it, it's a "vintage" piece from my aunt's or grandma's collections. So, this gold and pearl bracelet I'm wearing in these pictures is from my grandma (Mommo/Claire)'s vast collection that I've pretty much ransacked over the years! (Sorry, Mommo!)
Basically, this new preppy ensemble is bound to be a new staple outfit in my wardrobe! Also... Tomorrow is Friday! Finally! Here's to a weekend that will hopefully feel just as long as this week has!
Way to work that shirt!
ReplyDeleteI can see YOU strolling through SoHo in the spring, with a couple of girlfriends, all wearing red flats. Just do it. Mama P

ReplyDeleteThis third outfit is so casual, cool and put-together all at once. I love a plaid button-down under a V-Neck and with jeans it equals perfectly casual but awesome!!
